ABOUT

Continuing along the trajectory of Out Of Sight, an established exhibition of Pacific Northwest art

introduced alongside the early days of the Seattle Art Fair, XO Seattle will open in tandem with the

2022 Seattle Art Fair in July 2022, and feature a substantial roster of emerging and established

contemporary artists working in a range of media.

XO Seattle is not a gallery, or an art fair. It is an ephemeral and ever-evolving presentation / or

“happening,” designed and curated by Austin Bellamy Hicks and Julianne Johnson, with

co-curation by Erik Molano of Photon Factory and Moses Sun of Vivid Matter Collective. Together

as a collective of artists, builders, and community organizers, we are focused on short-term

cultural programming that activates spaces in transition. The majority of works on view will be

available for sale, with a commission structure which favors artists.

WHY

We believe that strangers are potential friends, and our primary goal is to celebrate and bolster the

unique and diverse talent of local artists, and to cultivate meaningful connections between creatives

and their communities. We also hold the belief that everything can be an experiment, and seek to

create alternative models for experiencing and engaging with art, and to have a good time along

the way.

WHERE

419 Occidental Avenue South

We are honored to invite you to visit us in our temporary home on the top two floors of the RailSpur

building– a sprawling 14,000 square foot space inside a historic 1906 brick building, just one block

North from the Seattle Art Fair at Lumen Field Event Center.

The RailSpur is readily accessible via public transportation—Metro bus lines, the Light Rail, and the

First Hill Streetcar. Garage and street parking are also available in the area.

There is wheelchair access throughout the building.

ADMISSION

General admission is $11

Friday evening programming is $22 and includes immersive art experiences, live music, DJs, and a

pop-up bar by La Dive. Admission is channeled directly to local artists, performers, musicians &

organizers.

We are creating a zero cost ticket, in limited daily quantities, in order to be accessible to all. Email
